Erin Dollar is the owner, maker, and designer behind Cotton and Flax. Since 2010, she has been creating limited edition textile goods, as well as fine art prints on paper, from her home studio in Los Angeles, California.
Cotton and Flax textiles are made using natural materials, like linen fabrics and water based inks. Erin chooses linen and linen blend fabrics for their unique qualities: high absorbency, durability, and increased softness with time (while staying lint-free). Cotton & Flax provides heirloom quality home decor, which you can share with friends and family for a lifetime.
We select designers whose work we love and feature them on the site, one at a time. We share a series of stories about each designer—inspirations, personal life, taste, training, you name it—along with a limited-edition piece designed exclusively for Of a Kind.
Relaxed, casual & cool are words that best describe the NSF customer. We believe in casual luxury and easy elegance. Our customer wants a timeless shape with a hip casual vibe. NSF is a west coast brand and perfectly exudes the attitude of a place like Los Angeles. The look is a mix of casual and sophisticated, it is both laid back and yet still pulled together, styled and yet understated.
Our approach to denim has been to design what we love without worrying about whether or not it was going to be accepted. Our denim is classic, straightforward, with a little bit of dirt and a sexy tomboy slouchy straight fit. Every pair of jeans is made in Los Angeles, with hand executed washes, some with 15-20 steps each. Our approach to quality craftsmanship and authentic denim washes stands out.
